Existing technology platform

Field-Proven Physical AI Platform for Autonomous Mobile Robots

Argus robots combine autonomous movement, machine vision, onboard computing and communication with existing security and industrial systems. They perceive their surroundings, analyze events and act in the physical world.

Instead of developing a new autonomous mobile robot from the ground up, a manufacturing partner can begin with an existing platform created for outdoor security patrol, industrial inspection and continuous collection of real-world data.

SMP Robotics has worked in autonomous mobile robotics since 2010 and has produced robots for real-world operation since 2015.

Two cooperation models

Contract Manufacturing and Licensed Robot Production

SMP Robotics offers two principal models of cooperation. The appropriate model depends on the partner’s manufacturing capabilities, target markets and intended commercial role.

Model 01

OEM/ODM Contract Manufacturing for International Markets

SMP Robotics is interested in manufacturers capable of preparing the Argus platform for cost-efficient serial production.

The work may include design-for-manufacturing review, BOM optimization, component sourcing, production engineering, assembly, testing and preparation for increased production volumes.

Under this model, SMP Robotics retains the product, software and commercial rights, while the manufacturing partner provides production capacity, supply-chain resources and engineering expertise.

Model 02

Territory-Specific Licensed Production of Argus Robots

In selected markets, SMP Robotics may grant a qualified partner territory-specific rights to manufacture and sell Argus autonomous mobile robots.

A licensed production program may include technical documentation, production know-how, software integration, personnel training and ongoing engineering support.

The territory, exclusivity, production commitments, software terms and royalty structure are agreed individually.

Technology transfer

Technology and Production Support from SMP Robotics

SMP Robotics provides manufacturing partners with access to an existing autonomous mobile robot platform and the engineering support required for an orderly transfer to serial production.

  • Argus S5.3 platform for outdoor security and industrial inspection
  • Argus S5.4 with NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX for third-party Physical AI applications
  • Autonomous navigation and automatic charging technologies
  • Panoramic, PTZ and thermal video configurations
  • ONVIF, RTSP and API integration
  • Robot fleet management and remote diagnostics
  • Production documentation provided under NDA
  • Engineering support, personnel training and software updates

Reference robots and detailed technical information can be provided within an agreed manufacturing program.

Partner profile

Requirements for an OEM/ODM Robot Manufacturing Partner

SMP Robotics is interested in established manufacturers with experience in electromechanical products, industrial electronics, outdoor equipment, autonomous systems or mobile robotics.

  • Mechanical fabrication and enclosure manufacturing
  • Electronics and cable assembly
  • Component sourcing and supply-chain management
  • Final assembly and functional testing
  • Environmental and reliability testing
  • Quality control and regional product certification
  • Design-for-manufacturing and BOM cost optimization

The partner should be prepared to support controlled technology transfer, increased production volumes and long-term development of the Argus platform.

Beyond hardware

Physical AI Software, Services and Recurring Revenue

Each deployed Argus robot creates a platform for additional Physical AI applications, including security analytics, thermal inspection, gas detection, environmental monitoring and industrial data collection.

Customers can extend robot capabilities through software modules, AI applications, technical support and lifecycle services. This creates recurring revenue opportunities beyond the initial hardware delivery.

Manufacturing partners may participate in a broader commercial ecosystem that includes local production, deployment, maintenance, software integration and regional market development.

Hardware creates the installed base. Software, data and lifecycle services increase its long-term value.

Strategic U.S. program

U.S. Physical AI Robot Manufacturing Opportunity

The United States requires a separate production and market-entry strategy based on domestic manufacturing, localized supply chains and a recurring service model.

SMP Robotics is considering qualified manufacturing and investment partners for licensed U.S. production of Argus autonomous mobile robots.

The U.S. project may include the creation of a dedicated local company, domestic OEM production, regional service infrastructure and an exclusive manufacturing license subject to agreed investment and production commitments.

  • BOM and manufacturing requirements
  • Software integration details
  • Sample configurations
  • Proposed commercial terms

Protected technology

Intellectual Property Protection and Technology Transfer

SMP Robotics retains ownership of its core intellectual property, autonomous navigation technology and software platform.

Contract manufacturing does not automatically provide the manufacturer with independent commercial rights to the product. Licensed manufacturing and sales rights are granted only for the territory, period and scope established by the corresponding agreement.

Detailed production documentation, BOM data, software architecture, commercial terms and development roadmaps are disclosed only to qualified partners under NDA.

This structure protects the underlying technology while providing the manufacturing partner with the information and support required to organize reliable serial production.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions About Robot Manufacturing Partnerships

Is SMP Robotics Selling Its Robot Technology?

No. SMP Robotics is developing long-term manufacturing partnerships rather than selling its core technology outright. The intellectual property and software platform remain under the control of SMP Robotics. Partners receive the production and commercial rights required for the agreed contract-manufacturing or licensed-production model.

Is the Manufacturing Partnership Available Outside the United States?

Yes. Contract manufacturing may support deliveries to international markets, while licensed production can be considered for selected territories. The U.S. opportunity is handled separately because it requires domestic production, supply-chain localization and its own investment structure.

Are Argus Robots Ready for Serial Production?

Yes. SMP Robotics has produced autonomous mobile robots for real-world operation since 2015. The purpose of the partnership is to optimize costs, adapt the platform to the partner’s production capabilities and increase manufacturing capacity—not to finance development from a blank sheet of paper.

What Manufacturing Information Is Available Under NDA?

Qualified partners may receive production documentation, BOM information, manufacturing requirements, software integration details, sample configurations and proposed commercial terms. The scope of disclosure depends on the partner’s role, technical capabilities and intended cooperation model.
