Strategic capital and industrial partnership opportunity

A U.S. Physical AI Robotics Manufacturing Opportunity Built on a Field-Proven Platform

SMP Robotics is evaluating strategic capital and industrial partnerships to establish U.S. manufacturing, deployment and lifecycle service operations for the Argus S5.3 autonomous mobile robot platform.

The project combines a field-proven outdoor robot, a U.S. supply-chain roadmap and recurring revenue from software, fleet support, maintenance, spare parts and upgrades.

  • Existing S5.3 platform
  • U.S. manufacturing roadmap
  • Recurring lifecycle revenue

The opportunity

Start with an operating platform - not a blank sheet of paper

Many robotics ventures ask investors to finance years of product development before commercial deployment can begin. This project starts from a different position: Argus S5.3 is an existing autonomous mobile robot platform supported by practical deployment, integration and remote-operation experience.

Two Argus S5.3 robots are deployed at LinkedIn headquarters in the United States. This public U.S. deployment provides direct evidence that the platform has moved beyond laboratory development and can operate within the infrastructure of a major technology company.

The proposed U.S. operating company would localize manufacturing and final assembly, qualify domestic suppliers, establish product testing and build a service organization for American customers and partners. The objective is not simply to sell hardware. It is to create a long-term operating business around every deployed robot.

Why now

U.S. market access increasingly depends on a documented domestic manufacturing base

On July 28, 2026, the Federal Communications Commission added foreign-produced advanced robotic devices to its Covered List. The action does not automatically remove every previously authorized robot from the market, but it materially changes the route to authorization for future foreign-produced models and increases the strategic value of U.S. manufacturing.

Project foundations

Four reasons the opportunity can move faster than a conventional robotics startup

Existing robotic platform

Argus S5.3 is designed for autonomous outdoor patrol, remote inspection and persistent real-world data collection. Two S5.3 robots are deployed at LinkedIn headquarters in a real U.S. corporate environment.

U.S. manufacturing roadmap

Capital would support domestic supplier qualification, component substitution, manufacturing engineering, assembly, testing and launch inventory.

Service-led recurring revenue

Fleet software, diagnostics, support, preventive maintenance, field service, spare parts, upgrades and partner certification extend revenue across the robot lifecycle.

Physical AI expansion

The platform can carry computer vision and industrial AI into outdoor areas that fixed cameras and conventional enterprise systems cannot continuously observe.

Proposed business model

Hardware opens the account. Services compound its value.

The proposed U.S. company would combine robot sales, leasing and Robotics-as-a-Service with commissioning, software, support, maintenance, upgrades and third-party AI integration.

  • Robot sales, leasing and RaaS deployments
  • Commissioning, site mapping and integration
  • Fleet software and remote-support contracts
  • Preventive maintenance and field service
  • Spare parts, sensors and compute upgrades
  • Partner training and certification
  • Third-party AI and video-analytics integration

Intended use of capital

SMP Robotics is interested in discussions with strategic industrial investors, robotics and Physical AI investors, contract manufacturers, security and infrastructure technology groups, data-center and energy ecosystem partners, growth-capital funds and qualified family offices.

Potential participation by non-U.S. investors may be considered subject to applicable U.S. securities laws, CFIUS review, export controls, sanctions requirements and transaction-specific legal advice.

Investor questions

Frequently asked questions

Is Argus S5.3 a concept-stage robot?

No. The proposed U.S. business is based on an existing mobile robot platform and accumulated deployment and integration experience, including two S5.3 robots deployed at LinkedIn headquarters in the United States. The investment project concerns U.S. localization, manufacturing scale and lifecycle services.

Is the U.S. company already operating as a manufacturer?

The project is intended to establish and scale U.S. manufacturing and service operations. The final corporate, governance, licensing and production structure will be defined in the transaction documents.

Why emphasize service revenue?

Industrial mobile robots require commissioning, monitoring, software updates, diagnostics, maintenance, spare parts and periodic upgrades throughout their operating life. These services can produce a more durable customer relationship than a one-time hardware sale.

Can an international investor participate?

Potential international participation can be evaluated, but eligibility and transaction rights depend on the investor, ownership structure, access to nonpublic technical information and applicable U.S. regulatory review.

How can an investor obtain the detailed materials?

Send the investor's name, organization, website, role, investment focus and typical investment size to info@smprobotics.com. Qualified parties may receive a confidential briefing after review and, where appropriate, execution of an NDA.
